Landscape Plans for DA approval are provided specifically to meet Local Government landscape regulations when a development application is submitted to Council.
All Council areas vary slightly in their requirements, however issues to be addressed in the Landscape Plan generally include;
- appropriate hard surface to soft surface ratios
- existing and proposed levels (RLs)
- retention and/or replanting of the mature tree canopy
- suitable screening between neighbouring properties
- appropriate percentage of proposed indigenous and/or low water usage plant species
- consideration of heritage guidelines where appropriate
- fire protection zone guidelines where appropriate
- plant schedules (including plant species, quantity, recommended pot purchase sizes, estimated mature dimensions)

The fee for Landscape Plans for DA approval vary from site to site. A meeting can be arranged to determine the scope of works and a quotation issued for preparation of the plan.
